Publishing Georeferenced Raster Images As WMS On GIS Server For Use In Unimap Web

Hi All

Has anyone set up a WMS Server in Earthlight to host their georeferenced raster images so that these can then be used in Unimap Web?

If so, would you be willing to share any documentation on how you set this up?

Thanks

Steven

Hi Steven,

Response was provided to you via email.

Hello, Steven.

In the long running saga to get UniMapWeb 2 component in IDOX Uniform to start consuming the OGC-compliant WFS from Earthlight, we have been in a series of meetings with their developers, but there seems to be a remaining problem with the UMW 2 component.

Apparently, though, IDOX are going to be putting in a ‘work around’.

Last week, we had another e-mail from Grant Black (of IDOX) on the subject:

“Our development will be working on the UMW2 software to ensure that third party web feeds will work in the Mapping Component for Uniform.

“The current version UMW2.0 does not contain the fixes , but we are expecting this will be fixed soon.

“We are advising customer who are having difficulties with moving forward with UMW set up, utilise a piece of software were have created which is a drag and drop process that creates a WFS feed that works with UMW- this is being deployed for some StatMap sites such as Ealing/Kingston.”

If you could enquire with IDOX in order get this workaround installed at East Lothian, that might help to resolve the matter until a fix is applied to UMW2 software component.

Kind regards,

Gordon
