Hi All, I’ve created a Web Feature Service (WFS) feed using StatMap Earthlight to share with another authority and it works fine with their QGIS product, but it’s not working with any of their ESRI products. Has anybody else come across this issue? Thanks
Hi Lee,
Yes that has happened to me as well, tried to share an Earthlight WFS with an authority with ESRI but had no success.
We have an ArcGIS Online account so I tested it myself and got the message ‘WFS service doesn’t support GeoJSON output format.’.
I asked on the helpdesk if we could have other output formats (I think GML would work) but was informed that ‘extra output formats are not planned to be developed for WFS served by Earthlight application’.
This was a little while ago, so I might ask again, one for the conference perhaps!
Hi Karl,
Thanks for your reply. The error you’re getting sounds different to our one.
Support looked at this for me too and ‘added a CORS parameter to our application web.config’, but unfortunately the issue still persists as the ESRI authority I’m trying to share the WFS with reports that, ‘it did look like it would connect in ArcMap, but there was nothing displayed and said it required a spatial reference’. I’m wondering whether another parameter, like srsName="EPSG:27700, is also needed in the web.config, or somewhere, to define the spatial reference system (srs) as British National Grid?
Yes, @Jeannette_StatMap, it would be great if this could be discussed further at the conference if it’s still an issue by then please? Thank you
Hi, yes i’m happy to add it to the discussion section.
